On Saturday, October 15, the Douglasville Police Department will be holding our Fall Community Yard Sale. We invite you to repurpose your old items and find new treasures. Spaces will be a 12×12 grass area. You can request to be next to someone. This event is RAIN or SHINE and will be held outside on our front lawn. Contact Sgt. Dean for an application or if you have any questions.
Please make all inquiries reference this event prior to September 30. We will not have a waiting list, nor will we take names after the cut-off date due to time limits.
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 26th Annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglasville on Saturday, October 22nd from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Rogue Runners Moonlight Run. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year.
Join us for the Children’s Halloween Costume Contest portion of the evening. We can’t let the kids have all the fun, join the adult costume contest.

The Douglasville Police Department is having our next Parenting 101 class on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, starting at 6:30 pm in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room.
We will have law enforcement and other community leaders discussing various topics. Gangs and drugs will be a part of the discussion, as well as Part II of Tara Nichols’ presentation.
Please join us for an informative discussion that includes communication and relationship building.
